Updated Licensing Information for Metashape 2.x
Metashape 2.x updates are available free of charge. Users upgrading from Metashape Professional 1.x to Metashape Professional 2.x must re-enter their license code upon launching the updated software. This is due to the new license activation system introduced in version 2.x by Agisoft. However, the activation system for Metashape Standard edition remains unchanged, so license codes do not need to be re-entered when updating to version 2.x.

Floating Licenses
For Metashape Professional 2.x, floating licenses are not compatible with the RLM license server used in previous versions. To use floating licenses with version 2.x, you need to install the new Agisoft License Server and activate your licenses with the provided license code.

An Agisoft Metashape’s floating license allows users to install the program on multiple computers and run it on as many systems as the number of licenses purchased. Floating licenses are also known as concurrent licenses or network licenses. They differ from standalone licenses, which only provide access to a specific user.

A single license (node-locked or floating) can be used on one machine at a time.  For simultaneous activation of Metashape on multiple machines a corresponding number of licenses (floating or node-locked) should be acquired.
